  1. I couldn't figure out how to edit the post so here is my story for March 4th...

Person I shared with: Taylor Purnell
My relationship to them: I mentor Taylor once a week, he is a 7th grader at Kelly Lane Middle School.
My experience sharing: I asked Taylor what he wants people to say about him when he is 80. He said he wanted people to talk about what a good guy and how religious he is. I asked him about his "religion" and why that was a big deal to him. He couldn't explain what his religion was or what he believed. I asked him if I could tell him what he believed. I then drew out the bridge illustration and used Romans 6:23 and walked through the Gospel. I asked him if he wanted a relationship with God and he said yes. I told him how he could and then a light went on and he said, "Do yo mean asking God into your life?" I said yeah and he said he did that this summer but hadn't seen it explained like this. I had him tell me about the camp that he went to where he put his faith in Christ and it sounded legit. It was pretty funny. We talked for awhile longer about his faith and how it is only through Christ that our sins can be forgiven. I think the guy is a believer, just new to the faith. It was a good conversation. Pretty funny in the end.
